O'FALLON HERITAGE & FREEDOM FEST

The Event:

O’Fallon Heritage and Freedom Fest is a beloved 4th of July celebration for not only O’Fallon residents but with festival goers across the region. The event features carnival rides, games, food, live music (rock and country nights), and a speculator fireworks display. The festival has allowed Blank Slate to demonstrate what we do best and elevated the festival to what it is today.

What We Did:

Each year, we partner closely with the City of O’Fallon to deliver a high-quality 4th of July celebration, attracting O’Fallon residents and many visitors from surrounding areas. O’Fallon wanted to upgrade the caliber of the free mainstage acts they provided as entertainment for the festival. Blank Slate was tasked with finding entertainment with mainstream appeal to draw festival-goers from across the area, focusing on meeting the O’Fallon City Council’s budget and family-friendly needs.

In addition, we secured a full lineup of warmup acts, sourced locally and regionally, to provide entertainment throughout the day, leading up to the night’s headliners and fireworks show.

Once the artists were secured, it was our responsibility to equip their large touring operations with a state-of-the-art production experience and a comfortable, memorable time in O’Fallon.

2019 Headliners: Pat Benatar/Walker Hayes

2021 Headliners: Styx/Dylan Scott

2022 Headliners: Cheap Trick/Chris Janson

2023 Headliners: 38 Special/Chris Lane

2024 Headliners: Bret Michaels/Mitchell Tenpenny

2025 Headliners: Neon Trees/Gabby Barrett

2026 Headliners: LOCASH, Lauren Alaina, KANSAS

In addition to talent acquisition and management, we handle securing and coordinating stage, sound, lighting, and video rental. An event needs talented and capable staff. Blank Slate hires and manages all main stage labor. Blank Slate is also responsible for all primary communication and artist relations.

The Result:

O’Fallon and Blank Slate have become true partners working to make the Fest bigger and better each year. Each show has gone off without a hitch, bringing in record attendance numbers and booked the biggest acts O’Fallon has ever hosted since Blank Slate came onboard.

A beloved 4th of July celebration with record attendance, mainstream entertainment, and an incredible fireworks display.

I have been working with Blank Slate for the past five years for the O’Fallon Heritage & Freedom Fest. Once they were on board, we were able to start securing bands we have been trying to get for many years.Blank Slate is a turnkey operation that maintains a working relationship with local artists, WME, and CAA. They work quickly, and they allow me to focus on the other moving parts of the festival. They work out the details, like contract negation, rider requirements, scheduling, stage, sound and lights for show production.

Best of all, they can adapt and pivot on the fly—and in the entertainment/event world you need that on your side!
